Metro Bus Mobility Training Center

Open July 2014, this unique facility is the first of its kind in Minnesota. The Mobility Training Center (MTC) combines elements of paratransit eligibility screening/ability assessments, travel training and community outreach into a single customer-friendly location. While the exterior was given a new fresh look of the existing granite veneer, the entire interior of the building was demolished for the new layout of the assessment course consisting of front end of a real bus body, simulated surfaces to test a person’s balance and transition from surface to surface, traffic signal light, life size images of downtown St. Cloud, a conference room, offices, and a training room.
